In 1946 Constant met the Danish painter / poet Asger Jorn. Short after agressive and daunting figures appeared in his paintings. In the same period he also got interested by childrens drawings. A year after Amsterdam organized his first solo exhibition. In his further life he kept interested in primitive and naïve art.
